Bike maintenance is an important skill to develop to keep your bike in top condition and to get out of trouble when problems occurs. In 2009, Macquarie University Bike Club will run some basic training courses aimed at teaching students and staff basic bike maintenance skills.
There are many on-line bike maintenance resources however the best way is to learn maintenance skills with the help of another person. There are many bicycle maintenance workshops run at bike shops and community collages. The Sydney Community Bicycle Workshop is a Not-For-Profit group that assists people in restoring and repairing bicycles at no charge.
